Common skincare mistakes

Common skincare mistakes

Let’s talk about some of the common skincare mistakes you should avoid:

  1. Skipping sunscreen:

Whether its cloudy, raining, snowing, whatever the weather condition, you need to apply sunscreen every day! Sun exposure can cause so many skin conditions such as pigmentation, sunburn, skin damage and skin cancer. Remember, it’s better to prevent than treat the damage caused by the sun!

2. Exfoliating too often:

this can damage the skin barrier and cause several problems like inflammation, acne, irritation, and sensitivity. Exfoliate a maximum of 2-3 times a week.

  1. Sleeping with makeup on:

I know it may seem like hard work after a long day and sometimes we come back home, and we’re not bothered to remove anything. However, not removing makeup before you sleep may lead to clogged pores, leading to inflammation and acne.

4. Not giving enough time for products to work:

it often takes 3-4 weeks and sometimes up to 3 months to see an actual change in your skin when using a product. The key here is to be patient! It takes time to see a change.
